The Big Brother television show has been a highly popular series on U.S. television. Each week, a new resident of the home is selected and sent into a big brother/sister's home. American teens, cut off entirely from the outside world, interact in an extremely isolating environment. While there is no fighting allowed, they are made to share a common interest: battling each other. As every sibling grows longer accustomed to this circumstance, tension mounts as they struggle to deal with being put in precisely the same room, with exactly the very same folks, and with the identical routine.
It seems like there'll be a few new contestants on the block this year as well. One of them will be The Amazing Race's Simon Bates, who has recently appeared on The Apprentice. His appearance will definitely excite people who love to see competitions on their television sets. Then there's American Idol's Cody Simpson, who will be joining the competition after being eliminated from The wonderful Race. Then we have the return of The Apprentice's Chris Lowe into the Big Brother house, and it seems as though he may have a competition for the top prize again this year.
So this morning I went to have a look at the Big Brother house and it's really nice to see some new developments that were created this past year. There are still plenty of animals in the house and I especially like how the new Big Brother twist gave us a creature who interacts with the houseguests. It makes for a more natural interaction between the animals, and they actually appear to get along quite well. This is especially true of The wonderful Race's Simon Bates, that participates really well with a number of the other creatures. The judges seemed to enjoy this spin on the show, and it was a one. I really hope that it keeps moving until the end of the summer since it's just a fantastic way to present a fresh twist to a favorite television series.
